Frequently Asked Questions

Who is TaxPal for?

TaxPal is designed for freelancers, content creators, and service providers who earn income outside traditional employment. If you offer services and receive payments to your bank account, TaxPal helps you calculate your tax liability.

Which banks are supported?

Loading supported banks...

What file formats work?

We support Excel (.xlsx, .xls) and CSV files only. PDF statements are not currently supported — please download the Excel/CSV version from your banking app.

Do I need all my bank statements?

Yes! For accurate calculations, upload statements from ALL banks you used this year. This helps us detect transfers between your own accounts and avoid counting them as income.

Is my data safe?

Absolutely. Your financial data never leaves your device. All processing happens locally in your browser — we don't upload or store your bank statements.

What about merchants/business income?

Merchant mode is coming soon! Currently TaxPal is optimized for service income (freelancing, content creation). Merchants with product sales will be supported in a future update.
